Details
Trek enlisted multiple World Cup-winning Katie Compton to design the ultimate cyclocross racing bike. The result is the Boone 9 Disc, a bike with 'cross-specific features like plenty of mud clearance, exceptional race geometry, a chain keeper, internal cable routing, and an easily shouldered top tube. The OCLV carbon frame and E2 carbon fork is, of course, stiff and precise, yet Trek’s innovative IsoSpeed decoupler adds comfort and compliance to every bumpy, rutted out course. Combine that with the flawless shifting of 11-speed Ultegra and the top-end performance of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, not to mention tubeless-ready Bontrager wheels with fat tires and a slew of lightweight Bonty components, and you're ready to climb the top step on the podium.
Demo bikes were used in trade show displays, media reviews, or test-ridden by dealers at Trek's headquarters. All demo bikes have been cleaned, tuned, and inspected by our mechanics and include the full manufacturer's warranty.
Trek's IsoSpeed fork is ingeniously engineered with reversed dropouts, increased fork rake (offset) and a constant, gentle curve beginning at the crown and sweeping all the way to the axle. These brilliant innovations allow the fork to absorb shocks rather than transmitting them to the rider for optimum comfort and energy savings, and they also increase the fork's lateral stiffness for more control.

| Trek's Boone features a 90mm-wide bottom bracket. This extra width allows Trek to build frames with larger-diameter tubes for improved power transfer. The BB90 bearings are placed directly into the frame to save weight. The combined weight-savings and improved power transfer ensure additional pedaling efficiency and simplify maintenance. |
